The Search for God

My last post was about Quest. I wanted to start with writing about that very foremost element of this essential search for "The One". 

Those who have never questioned, can never find! and those who have questioned perhaps once, when in need, can see a glimpse! But, the answer shall be found by those, who ask this question everyday, who ask again and again and who cant not rest until they find out the Truth!

Kabir, a great poet and saint said: " Jaise Til Mein Tel Hai, Jyon Chakmak Mein Aag

Tera Sayeen Tujh Mein Hai, Tu Jaag Sake To Jaag" (the way oil is within the sesame seed and the way fire is within the flint stone, God is within you, awaken/recognise him if you can)

Finding God within has to be the most underestimated statement ever. However, little do people realize that the answer is hidden in that very underestimated sentence.

Quest

I was searching for the one who is "Behind The Scenes" since I was little.

My grandmother first introduced me to the concept of the 'Superior One'. The one referred to as 'God' by some and 'Nature' by others. She would tell me stories about how this Entity that is above and beyond us, sometimes take the shape of humans and is amongst us. She would draw references to stories about hindu gods and goddesses who incarnated as humans, thousands of years ago. I would then sometimes ask myself- what if I am God, and I just dont know it yet. I would tell myself, that, may be this realization will come to me once I grow up!!. Years went by and I realized slowly that I am not in fact God incarnated as a human.  Once it was established in my mind, that I am not the one that my grandmother spoke about, my next question to myself was - "then who is this Superior one" and "where is he/she/it"? Does this higher power even exist or are we all following each other in this blind herd walk.

Why are people fanatically praying if we are not sure "who and where this power is"?

In retrospect, I now realize the importance of Quest. Finding this "Higher Being/Energy/Nature" or whatever you like to call it, is not possible without having the essential component of Quest in your life.

Question is -  Do you have it? or are you satisfied with what your mind understands and your eyes see and yet- you can not explain it.

First Post- Sacred Post

I have been thinking of starting a blog since forever but could not decide the subject. Like anyone else, I have a couple of  favorite topics that I can go on and on about-  Spirituality, Life, Movies, Health and Fashion (Yes I am a contradiction- I seek the 'beyond' and I still love Chanel)

Now that I am finally at it, I want to chat out loud (hopefully just not to myself but there will be someone reading this at some point) about Spirituality and Life together on this blog and about the ongoing human experience of Self Search.

And may be on a good day I can throw in some Movies, Mac products and Michael Kors all together.
